Trappers Phonebook Mega Drop Down Menu

Most people do NOT use the traditional phone book anymore. When looking for a business or service, they simply "Google it". As a matter of fact, for all the money you would spend to get a page in the Traditional Phone Book (Yellow Pages), you might be better off making a house payment instead. In most cases, if your business is not listed in the major search engines, like Google, your business will not get called. That's where Trappers Phone Book comes in!

$15.00 - $25.00 will not buy much these days, especially when it comes to advertising. Unless of course, you spend that $15.00 to $25.00 for a yearly spot here at Trappers Phone Book. So, what do you get? Check it out below:

1. Your listed on the home page (The USA Map)
2. You will have your own page within the site with your words and photos.
3. We target Google (& others) and optimize your page to your geographical area.
So, if your serious about your business and ready to sign up, this is what we need to get started:

1. Select "Individual" or "Business" from the drop down list and click the "Subscribe" button below to sign up.

NOTE: If you are running and ADC business, the cost is $25.00 per year. If you are a fur trapper, the cost is $15.00 per year .

NOTE: Listings will be checked periodically for accuracy. If it is found out that you have listed your business as an individual, your listing will be turned off and NO REFUND will be issued. Look guys, it's only $10.00 more for an entire year, so play nice and don't try to cheat us.

2. Send us a 300 (minimum) - 1500 word bio about yourself. Please keep in mind that this directory is targeting home owners, ranchers, farmers etc. so choose your words carefully. For example, you might not want to say "I've skinned 40 beaver this week, the little bastards", etc. You get the idea.

3. Send us 3 Photos.

NOTES:
We can not write the correct content that is so important on your personal page. Only you know what your goals are, what you want to trap and where you want to get land to trap. This will not be hard, you can look at some of the other trappers on the site and kind of copy them. You do need to have at minimum 300 words and you can go up to 1,500 words to sell yourself to folks in your area. The more good information you have on your page, the better the internet and customers will find you. Take a few moments to think about what makes you a good choice for a landowner to contact and give you permission to trap for them.
I would start the your page with some general information about yourself or your ADC business. How long have you lived in the area, do you have a family, go to church, work with the local school or local charity. How long have you trapped and how and why you like helping your neighbors out with there animal conflicts. You need to be seen as the good'ol boy down the street, not a blood thirsty killer. Your goal is to make the landowner feel good about contacting you, not afraid that a mountain man that lives in a tent somewhere will show up to their door and eat their house cat or kids.

You can have three photos. I would not use any pics that show piles of fur stacked up on the back of your truck. Most people find this disturbing and will not want to work with you or have you on their place. You with a single coyote or beaver is fine, but the best photo you can have is one with family and or you and wife smiling. Keep in mind who you are advertising too. You want them to see you as a good guy down the road, not what most people see in the head when they think about trappers.

The last and biggest part of your page is what you trap and were. The customer has to be able to find you and know you are local to them. What this means is that you need to say what animals you trap. Do not use slang like coon or rats, say raccoons and muskrats. This is for many different reasons to help you on the internet. If you only trap red fox and raccoons say it. If you are a ADC business say what every animal you trap. I would recommend you have each one with its own sentence or short paragraph. Just saying you are a trapper is not a good option for you. Next, were do you or want to trap. You need to work in your state, county, perish, cities or general areas that locals call the area you want to gain permission to trap in your personal page. An example is : I have been trapping in the Dunlap, Chattanooga and Cleveland Tennessee area for 14 years and have noticed that the beaver and coyote populations have exploded. So if your in the Hamilton county, Marion County or Bradley county area in Tennessee, I would be glad to see if I can help you with your beaver and coyote problems in South East Tennessee.

Be creative and remember you are selling yourself to a landowner, they really don't want to hear you bragging about how you are the best trapper in the country. They are looking for someone to help them out. They are looking for someone that looks trust worthy and they would not feel like they have to lock their doors if you show up. As a trapper, you are the local wildlife expert, even more than the state and federal boys most of the time. You have a service that landowners need, but you still have to sell them on you and that you can help them out. So put some thought into what you want the customer to see. Let your friends and family read what you want on your page and listen to what they have to say. They are more like your customer than you are.
